Job summary

A leading aerospace company in Singapore is seeking an Environment, Health & Safety professional with a minimum of 8 years of experience and a WSQ Specialist Diploma in WSH (Level C). The role includes administering safety programs, conducting assessments, and promoting safety culture. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Flexible work policies may be offered.

Job description

This position is an integral part of the Singapore Service Centre, in ensuring the compliance with both internal and regulatory Workplace Safety and Health requirements; overseeing the MRO, FBO, Interiors and Paint operations. The incumbent should possess a collaborative work style, well organized, co-ordinate, organize and promote Safety Activities and Campaigns to raise safety awareness on site.

In your role, you will:

ENVIRONMENT, HEALTH & SAFETY
  1. Administer and develop the Company's Safety and Health Management System, Emergency Response Plan (ERP), ISO 14001, OHSA systems and Site Security Program;
  2. Conduct safety and industrial hygiene assessments/audits and incident/accident investigation and implement corrective/preventive measures;
  3. Promote and inculcate continuous improvement to the safety work culture within the Company;
  4. Participate in hazard analysis and risk assessments to identify, evaluate and control all hazards and risks associated with business activities;
  5. Conduct safety and health training for employees, contractors, suppliers and visitors;
  6. Coordinate & execute minor work projects related to the Safety, Health & Environment aspects of the Company;
  7. Liaise with local government agencies like MOM, SCDF, NEA etc. on all Safety, Health & Environment (EHS) matters etc.;
  8. Feedback/findings on emergency response equipment, PPE and GSE to Facility;
  9. Oversee the review and approval of hazardous work permits (i.e. Confined Space, Work at Heights, etc.);
  10. Implement safety & training plans, safety meetings, audits & inspections, site investigations and other related tasks in the Company;
  11. Assist to assess the levels of noise, heat, harmful or hazardous substances in the workplace and the exposure levels of persons at work therein; &
  12. Oversee the Singapore Company Emergency Response Team (CERT) during an incident and training of the CERT in fire drills.

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate,

  • You must have minimum WSQ Specialist Diploma in WSH (Level C) or possess relevant certificates (MOM)
  • You have a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience and ideally in a recognized MNC or US firm
  • You have interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, other business areas and governmental agencies
  • You have verbal and written communication skills
  • You have planning and organizational skills necessary to coordinate workload around multiple assignments
