Job summary

Molex in Singapore is seeking an IPQC Inspector to support production quality through visual inspection and measurement activities. You will identify defects, maintain inspection standards, and collaborate with quality, engineering, tooling, process, and production teams to ensure consistent quality across products.

This role emphasizes on-the-floor inspection, documentation, and training of new inspectors, with daily quality reporting and close interaction with engineering and production

Qualifications

• GCE 'O' Level, NTC2, or an equivalent qualification.
• At least 2 years of experience in quality control inspection and measurement.
• Knowledge of measurement equipment operation and measurement fundamentals.
• Ability to communicate quality issues clearly and work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections.
• Set up measurement equipment and perform basic troubleshooting.
• Complete inspection records and quality logs accurately and on time.
• Report real-time quality issues to line leaders, engineers, or supervisors.
• Support daily quality reporting and trend analysis updates.
• Ensure immediate containment of defects to prevent line-outflow and shipment of non-conforming products.
• Assist in root-cause analysis during defect investigation.
• Provide on-the-job guidance and coaching to new inspectors on inspection standards and procedures.
• Collaborate with DPE, engineers, and QA personnel to resolve quality issues.

Your Job

Help ensure our products meet quality standards through visual inspection and measurement activities. In this role, you will support production quality, identify defects, and work with the team to maintain consistent inspection practices.

Our Team

You will be part of the DSS Advanced Quality Planning and metrology team in Singapore, working closely with quality, engineering, tooling, process, and production colleagues to resolve issues and maintain consistent inspection standards

What You Will Do

• Inspection & Quality Control

  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections.
  • Perform measurement equipment setup and basic troubleshooting

• Documentation & Reporting

  • Complete all inspection records and quality logs accurately and on time.
  • Report real-time quality issues to line leaders, engineers, or supervisors.
  • Support daily quality reporting and trend analysis updates.

• Defect Identification & Containment

  • Ensure immediate containment of defects to prevent line-outflow and shipment of non-conforming products.
  • Support segregation, re-inspection, and disposition activities for suspect lots.
  • Assist in root-cause analysis during defect investigation

• Guidance & Support for New Inspectors

  • Provide on-the-job guidance and coaching to new inspectors to ensure they understand inspection standards, procedures, and defect criteria.
  • Demonstrate correct inspection methods and best practices.
  • Assist new inspectors in developing consistency, accuracy, and confidence in performing IPQC inspections.
  • Provide feedback to supervisors on new inspectors' progress and any additional support required.

• Collaboration & Communication

  • Work closely with DPE, engineers, and AQP/QA personnel to resolve quality issues.
  • Provide feedback to improve assembly processes, inspection methods, and quality controls.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• GCE 'O' Level, NTC2, or an equivalent qualification.
• At least 2 years of experience in quality control inspection and measurement.
• Knowledge of measurement equipment operation and measurement fundamentals.
• Ability to use measurement equipment such as OGP, toolmaker microscope, or Keyence systems.
• Able to communicate quality issues clearly and work effectively with cross-functional teams.

What Will Put You Ahead

• 4 or more years of quality control inspection and measurement experience.
• Certification or hands-on programming experience with OGP SmartScope, View, Keyence, or similar measurement systems.
• Practical knowledge of inspection methods, measurement practices, and defect containment.
