Job description

We are inviting expression of interest for Adjunct Lecturers in the Bachelor of Commerce. Areas include Accounting, Finance, Economics, Marketing, Management and Business Analytics – with priority given to Accounting ( e.g. Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Auditing and Assurance, Accounting Information Systems).

What you will do
  • Deliver lectures/tutorials.
  • Mark and moderate assessments; provide timely feedback
  • Contribute to course delivery within established outlines and standards

Selection criteria

  • Preferred: Completed PhD in Accounting (or Business with an Accounting specialisation) and recent peer-reviewed outputs (past 5 years) or a clear publications pipeline.
  • Also considered (near-completion PhD): Late-stage candidates in Accounting (e.g., thesis submitted/under examination or within ~6–12 months of completion).
  • Practitioner/Instructional profiles: Strong CPA/CA (or equivalent) with significant, recent professional experience for non-coordinator roles (PA/IP/SP-aligned).
  • Demonstrated tertiary teaching effectiveness (e.g. student feedback, peer review, or teaching awards).
  • Proficiency with LMS (e.g., Canvas), marking rubrics, moderation, and academic integrity.
  • Collaborative mindset—work effectively with coordinators and professional staff to meet quality and compliance requirements.
