Job summary

Aon Global Risk Consulting in Singapore seeks an Actuarial Consultant to apply analytical precision to client projects, transforming insurance and exposure data for risk modelling. You will perform stochastic and deterministic analyses, support captives with feasibility studies, placement, and premium allocation, and contribute to IFRS17 valuations and regulatory work.

Qualifications

• Up to 5 years industry experience, preferably in the Actuarial profession.
• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office suites (Excel, Word, PPT, Access) and experience with analytical tools. Additional programming skills are a plus.
• Experience in data modelling for analytical/reporting systems, with a strong interest in data visualization.
• Ability to use complex computer programs to coordinate, cleanse, and analyze data, and to present information clearly to clients.
• Understanding of financial investment, the influence of risk on investing and profitability, and the capability to interpret financial ratios and company accounts.
• Familiarity with commercial insurance policies/markets and accounting is highly advantageous.
• Understanding of performance guidelines for data and visualization projects.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities, capable of explaining complex model findings to a non-technical audience.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients and colleagues to gather insurance and exposure information for risk modelling.
• Communicate and provide perspectives to assist projects.
• Understand data mapping and transformations for end-to-end data flows.
• Conduct stochastic and deterministic modeling to evaluate risks and deliver insights.
• Assist with captive feasibility studies, placement, and premium allocation models.
• Perform annual actuarial reserving valuation including IFRS17 and other regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to task automation to improve efficiency.
• Participate in client conversations to grasp risk profiles.
• Carry out other pertinent tasks as needed.
