Job description

Responsibilities

• Acquire academic contents for books and journals in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) topics.
• Responsible for full editorial processes from manuscript submission to publication.
• Maintain positive collaborative relationship with all stakeholders including existing/potential authors, reviewers, contributors, key advisers, potential textbook adopters, and colleagues in various divisions.
• Monitoring market demand, advising future trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Participate in marketing and promotional activities as required.
• Represent World Scientific Publishing at conferences and events where appropriate.
• Any ad hoc projects assigned when necessary.

Requirements

• PhD or Degree in Pure and Applied Sciences.
• Effective communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet KPIs and tight deadlines.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
• Prior experience in academic publishing will be given preference.
