A leading academic publishing company in Singapore is seeking a professional to acquire academic contents for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) books and journals. The role involves managing the full editorial process from manuscript submission to publication and maintaining relationships with various stakeholders. Candidates should have a PhD or Degree in Pure and Applied Sciences, with effective communication and analytical skills. Previous experience in academic publishing is preferred.

Responsibilities
- Acquire academic contents for books and journals in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) topics.
- Responsible for full editorial processes from manuscript submission to publication.
- Maintain positive collaborative relationship with all stakeholders including existing/potential authors, reviewers, contributors, key advisers, potential textbook adopters, and colleagues in various divisions.
- Monitoring market demand, advising future trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Participate in marketing and promotional activities as required.
- Represent World Scientific Publishing at conferences and events where appropriate.
- Any ad hoc projects assigned when necessary.
Requirements
- PhD or Degree in Pure and Applied Sciences.
- Effective communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet KPIs and tight deadlines.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
- Prior experience in academic publishing will be given preference.
- Incentives payable.
