About the role

JECS is seeking a skilled and experienced ACMV Engineer to join our team. In this full‑time role, you will be responsible for the design, installation, and maintenance of air‑conditioning, mechanical ventilation, and refrigeration systems within our projects located in the Central Region. Your expertise in mechanical engineering will be crucial in ensuring the optimal performance and efficiency of these critical building systems.

What you’ll be doing

• Assist Project Manager and site personnel in planning, execution, and completion of ACMV projects
• Designing ACMV systems for new construction and renovation projects
• Overseeing the installation and commissioning of ACMV systems
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues with ACMV systems
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including relevant authorities, subcontractors, and workers on site ensuring compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards
• Assist in the preparation of progress payment claims and variation orders as required
• Analyze, manage, and track project costs against budget
• Staying up‑to‑date with the latest ACMV technologies and industry best practices

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an ACMV engineer in the building services industry
• Strong knowledge and experience in ACMV calculations including heat load, pump size, air flow rate, chilled water system performance, chiller sizing and configuration, fan sizing and more.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications
• Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
• Familiarity with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards
