Duties/Areas of Responsibility
- Possess a strong understanding of ACMV principles, including ventilation rates, duct sizing, pipe sizing, and equipment selection.
- Review design specifications, measurements, and drawings to participate in the process of solving on-site problems or design changes.
- Design ACMV systems, including ductwork, piping, equipment, and components, based on the specifications and calculations (heat load, ESP, Pump friction loss), assist and coordinate with the project team to provide architecture design and technical solutions.
- Assist in the preparation of submission drawings complying with various authorities' guidelines.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with the Project in charge to ensure timely task completion.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve design issues.
- Assist the Project in‑charge in determining the project schedule.
- Responsible for pre‑ and post‑contract documentation, taking off measurement and preparing tender submission.
- Assist and perform all tasks assigned by respective superior and prepare materials take‑off for procurement and production.
- Evaluation and certification of subcontractor's progress payments and variation claims (include any deduction to be made).
- Involve in project budgeting, finalisation of account with subcontractors and client.
- Preparation of monthly progress claim to consultant, preparation of variation orders for submission.
- Follow company policies and ISO procedures to ensure quality services.
- Any other duties as required and assigned.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- Possess adequate qualifications in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering.
- Relevant experience 3 years in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in Revit MEP, Navisworks and other related BIM software, MS Office, AutoCAD, Autodesk Application, E20 software, etc.
- Strong understanding of ACMV design principles and standards.
- Familiar with calculating ETTV, RETV and RTTV.
- Familiar with SS553, SS554, Singapore fire code, and Green Mark version 2021.
