Job Summary:

The Accounting Officer will be responsible for managing and overseeing the day-to-day financial operations of the company. This role involves managing the company’s account receivable processes, maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, preparing financial statements, and supporting the broader finance team in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a keen attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and strong analytical ability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and update financial records, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all entries.
  • Prepare and manage accounts receivable, ensuring timely processing and accurate record-keeping.
  • Prepare and assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports.
  • Ensure all financial reports follow local accounting standards, tax regulations, and real estate industry-specific requirements.
  • Provide support in the preparation of financial reports for investors, stakeholders, and management.
  • Work closely with the finance team to provide financial data and analysis to support decision-making.
  • Coordinate with other departments (sales, legal) to ensure financial transactions and reporting are accurate and up to date.
  • Assist in preparing financial data for audits and working closely with auditors when necessary.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) are a plus.
  • Minimum 3 years of accounting experience.
  • Experience in Real Estate industry is a plus.
  • Proficient in accounting software. Strong MS Excel skills are essential.
  • Understanding of relevant tax regulations, accounting standards, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies and issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
