Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Process and verify accounts payable invoices.
  • Review petty cash claims and staff expense reimbursements.
  • Ensure compliance with GST regulations.
  • Prepare and generate electronic payments to vendors.
  • Verify new vendor creation forms.
  • Perform monthly vendor reconciliations.
  • Respond to vendor queries in a timely manner.
  • Clear and reconcile unallocated payments.
  • Assist with month-end closing activities.
  • Support ad hoc finance duties.

About the Role

The Accounts Payable Assistant plays a key role in supporting the Group’s finance operations by ensuring timely and accurate processing of payables, compliance with statutory requirements and effective coordination with internal stakeholders and external vendors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and verify accounts payable invoices by matching against purchase orders, delivery orders and goods receipt notes.
  • Review and ensure accurate coding and documentation of petty cash claims and staff expense reimbursements.
  • Ensure proper GST treatment and compliance in accordance with Singapore tax regulations.
  • Prepare and generate electronic payments to vendors, ensuring approvals are obtained in line with company policies.
  • Verify new vendor creation forms and maintain accurate vendor master data.
  • Perform monthly vendor reconciliations and follow up on discrepancies.
  • Respond to and resolve internal and external vendor queries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Clear and reconcile unallocated payments and support the completeness and accuracy of balance sheet schedules.
  • Assist with month end closing activities and preparation of audit schedules.
  • Support ad hoc finance duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
  • At least 1 to 2 years of relevant accounts payable or finance experience preferred.
  • Fresh graduates with strong accounting fundamentals and attention to detail are welcome to apply.
Skills and Competencies
  • Strong attention to detail with good analytical and organisational skills.
  • Working knowledge of accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Understanding of GST regulations and basic accounting principles.
