Job summary

An accounting firm in Singapore is seeking an Accounts Officer to perform essential bookkeeping and accounting services for external clients. The ideal candidate should have at least a diploma in Accountancy, 1 year of relevant experience, and proficiency in accounting software. Qualifications

  • At least diploma or degree in Accountancy, Finance, or professional accounting qualifications such as ACCA.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in an accounting firm.
  • Proven exposure to managing full sets of accounts or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform regular bookkeeping and accounting services for external clients.
  • Preparation of client’s unaudited financial statements in accordance to FRSs.
  • Streamline clients’ cashflow monitoring processes.
  • Provide internal process consultancy and backoffice software consultancy.
  • Review junior consultants’ work for accuracy.
  • Conduct trainings for clients on MYOB and other software.
  • Manage internal and clients’ statutory deadlines.

Skills

Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, MYOB, Xero)
Working knowledge of MS Office & MS Excel

Working Days and Time: 5 days 9am-6pm
Working Location: Ubi
Salary: $3,100-$4,000 + Transport Reimbursement + Performance Bonus

Job Responsibilities

Perform regular Bookkeeping and Accounting services, Taxation work, quarterly GST, Payroll services rendered to external clients (preparation of full set of accounts including bank reconciliation, audit schedules, etc.) or provide consultancy thereof.

Preparation of client’s unaudited financial statements prepared in accordance to Financial Reporting Standards (FRSs)

Streamline clients’ cashflow monitoring processes

Provide internal process consultancy and backoffice software consultancy to clients

Review junior consultants’ work for accuracy and reasonableness

Conduct MYOB and other backoffice software trainings and IT consultancy for clients

Manage internal and company’s clients’ statutory datelines

Job Requirements

At least diploma or degree in Accountancy, Finance, or professional accounting qualifications such as ACCA

At least 1 years relevant experience in accounting firm.

With proven exposure to managing full sets of accounts or equivalent experience in a related industry.

Proficiency in using accounting software such as QuickBooks, MYOB, or Xero

Working knowledge of MS Office & MS Excel
