Job description
Finance and Accounting Manager

Reporting to the CEO, the Finance and Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day finance and accounting operations, including entering journals, managing accounts receivable and payable, using financial technology systems, and other select finance-related administration. The Manager ensures timely reconciliation and reporting of all financial statements and prepares financial analyses for the CEO and other key stakeholders as requested; and maintains fiscal records. The Manager serves as the primary contact for internal staff on invoicing, bill payments, cash receipts and revenue, payroll and budgets. Handle the complete accounting cycle, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL), while maintaining accurate and organized financial records.

  • Perform month-end tasks such as bank reconciliations, accruals, depreciation, intercompany reconciliations, and necessary adjustments to ensure accuracy.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow, and Budget Variance reports, to provide valuable insights to stakeholders.
  • Managing end-to-end salary computation, including overtime, bonuses, deductions (taxes, benefits), and timely disbursements.

  • Ensure timely and accurate submissions of GST filings, corporate tax returns, and compliance reports in alignment with IRAS and SFRS standards.
  • Collaborate with external auditors, prepare detailed audit schedules, and ensure smooth audit processes.
  • Develop robust internal controls, support accounting software integration, and ensure data accuracy while promoting cost-saving strategies and risk management practices.

Requirements:

  • Experience in full-set accounting and financial reporting, prior experience in Education industry will have added advantage
  • Familiar with Accounting Software (Xero)
  • Supervisory experience a plus.
