An opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Executive to join the Sugar team in Singapore.

We are seeking a self-starter and detail-oriented individual to build a career in the Sugar industry. With the desired attitudes and mindset, the Accounts Executive will gain knowledge about commodity trading for future growth and development of a professional career in the agricultural commodity industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Accounts Executive is responsible for day-to-day finance activities and engages in financial and management reporting. The Accounts Executive is seen as a business partner to the Commercial and Operations teams.

Key responsibilities include:

• Support daily treasury activities and regular cashflow forecast.
• Prepare and submit weekly & monthly management reports including but not limiting to AR ageing report and Counterparty risk report.
• Manage staff reimbursement and monitor petty cash imprest system.
• Manage AP, AR, GL, Fixed Assets and bank reconciliation.
• Handle intercompany transactions and end to end processes.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare, review and coordinate GST submission.
• Assist in audit and tax matters to ensure compliance with local statutory and group requirements.
• Liaise with banks on trade finance matters as required.
• Any ad hoc assignments.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

• Diploma or equivalent in Accountancy, Business, Business Administration and Business Finance
• Preferably with at least 3 years of working experience
• Possess keen willingness to learn about commodity trading
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Dynamic team player with ability to work Independently
• Able to work in a methodical, detailed, and accurate manner
• Strong PC skills with proficient in Microsoft Office, accounting system and reporting system (e.g. Hyperion)
• Able to thrive in multitasking working environment and adhere to tight deadlines
• Possess positive attitude towards working overtime to fulfil duties as required
