Job summary

A growing port and shipping agency in Singapore is seeking an Accounts Executive/Assistant to support their Finance/Accounts department. Responsibilities include processing financial transactions, managing accounts, and assisting in reporting and audits. PortNav Marine Agencies Pte. Ltd. is a young and growing port & shipping agency head-quartered in Singapore, handling all types of vessels in port.

In order to support our Finance/Accounts department, we intend to hire an additional Accounts Executive/Assistant:

Responsibilities
  • Process financial transactions: Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions, including processing invoices, and payments.
  • Manage accounts: Conduct bank reconciliations and reconcile statements of account (SOA) from suppliers and customers.
  • Assist in reporting: Prepare monthly payment summaries.
  • Support month‑end closing: Ensure timely and accurate closing of AR and AP transactions to facilitate the monthly closing process.
  • Maintain records: Perform data entry, maintain accurate financial records, and organize supporting documentation. Communicate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to follow up on payments and resolve billing discrepancies.
  • Assist with audits: Provide support during internal and external audits by gathering and presenting relevant financial records.
  • Provide administrative support: Handle general clerical duties, including filing and managing office correspondence.
  • Assist in ad hoc tasks and projects.
