Job Purpose
As an Accounts Executive in an accounting services firm, you will be responsible for providing full spectrum accounting support to a portfolio of clients across various industries. This includes handling bookkeeping, preparing financial statements, and supporting compliance with local statutory requirements such as GST and tax filings.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Manage daily accounting functions for multiple clients, including data entry, bank reconciliations, AP/AR, and general ledger maintenance.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports for clients.
- Ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions in accordance with client requirements and accounting standards.
- Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
- Prepare and file GST returns, CPF submissions, and other statutory filings on behalf of clients.
- Support annual audits by preparing audit schedules and liaising with external auditors.
- Client Servicing & Communication
- Maintain good working relationships with clients and respond to their queries promptly.
- Ensure clients are updated on deadlines, missing documents, and compliance obligations.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure efficient workflow and timely delivery of services.
- Administrative & Ad-hoc Tasks
- Maintain proper documentation and filing for client accounts.
- Assist in onboarding new clients and setting up accounting systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or equivalent.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience, preferably in an accounting firm or outsourced accounting role.
- Familiarity with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), GST regulations, and statutory compliance.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, or similar).
- Good command of Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
- Able to handle multiple clients and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Language Requirement
- Fluent in both spoken and written Chinese (Mandarin) to liaise with Chinese-speaking clients and handle Chinese documentation.
