Job summary

A leading company in telecommunications is seeking an Accounting Associate in Singapore. Responsibilities include handling fixed asset accounting, preparing monthly management reports, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Ideal candidates should possess a Diploma or Degree in Accounting, have strong analytical and communication skills, and be proficient in accounting software. Immediate availability is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Diploma or Degree in Accounting.

Job description

Set up by the ASEAN Telecommunications Authorities (CAT Telecom Public Company Limited, Eastern Telecommunications, PT Indosat Tbk, Telekom Brunei Berhad, Singapore Telecommunications Ltd, Telekom Malaysia Berhad) ASEAN Cableship Pte Ltd has become one of the leading companies in the Submarine Telecommunications Fiber Optic Cable Industry today.

Responsibilities
  • Handle fixed asset accounting and physical sighting exercise;

  • Verifying supporting documents to substantiate accounting transactions;

  • Maintain a full set of company accounts;

  • Prepare monthly management reports and audit schedules;

  • Cashflow planning and bank account management;

  • Preparing Bank account reconciliations;

  • Attending to internal & external audits requests;

  • Related parties Billing;

  • Preparing Balance sheet accounts analysis;

  • Prepare GST returns for quarterly GST filing;

  • Improving work processes and ERP utilization to meeting our business needs;

  • Any other ad-hoc assignments assigned.

Requirements
  • Minimum Diploma or Degree in Accounting;

  • Full set of accounting knowledge is preferred;

  • Maritime/ Shipping industry experiences is a bonus (not a must);

  • Proficiency in FRS 16 requirements and ensure compliance;

  • To be hands-on, meticulous and a fast learner;

  • An out-of-the-box thinker who enjoys solving problems;

  • Perform well under pressure and fast-paced environment;

  • Good team player and able to work independently;

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;

  • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills are necessary;

  • Excellent MS Excel and in accounting software, such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central;

  • Preference will be given to those who are available immediately.
