Job description

We are looking for a capable and motivated Accounts Executive to support our day-to-day finance operations. In this role, you will work closely with the team to ensure smooth AP and AR processes, accurate financial records, and timely reporting.

Your Role & Responsibilities

• Support AP activities including supplier invoices, staff claims and payment preparation
• Check accuracy and completeness of invoices, including GST treatment and proper GL coding
• Prepare online payments and maintain organised and accurate finance documentation
• Perform bank reconciliations and ensure timely and accurate allocation of receipts
• Support AR activities including revenue reporting support and AR aging monitoring
• Work collaboratively with a remote finance assistant on invoice downloads and GST replacement tax invoices
• Assist the Senior Accountant with GST reporting and VAT filing
• Support month-end closing, fixed asset updates and audit documentation
• Suggest practical improvements to enhance workflow efficiency and accuracy

Who We’re Looking For

• Diploma/Degree in Accounting with at least 5 years of AP/AR experience
• Experience in Xero or cloud-based accounting systems preferred
• Strong Excel skills; GST compliance knowledge is preferred
• Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to manage your tasks with minimal supervision
• A team player with strong communication skills, comfortable working with internal and remote colleagues
• A positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and improve
