Job summary

A construction company based in Singapore is seeking an Accounts Executive to manage accounting processes including bank reconciliation, financial reporting, and tax compliance. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of experience in accountancy and possesses a Diploma or Degree in a relevant field. Strong knowledge of full set of accounts is essential for this role.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in accountancy.
  • Strong understanding of accounting processes including AP & AR.
  • Experience in preparing and closing financial statements.

Responsibilities

  • Handle data entries for AR receipts.
  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end financial closing.
  • Coordinate with auditors for AR invoices and receipts.
  • Prepare annual GST returns and tax submissions.

Accounts Executive
  • Data entries AR receipts
  • Reconciliation of daily bank receipts (including bond receipts) with total receipts in RMS
  • Assist auditor's request on AR invoices and receipts sample
  • Bank reconciliation for all banks
  • Ensure timely, accurate month-end closing and financial reporting
  • Responsible for preparation and closing of monthly and annual financial statements
  • Responsible for accounting processes and tasks (i.e.: AP & AR process, GL, account reconciliation, etc.)
  • Responsible for GST returns, PAYG withholding tax, annual tax returns, annual XRBL submission (if any), annual company return (if any)
  • Coordinate and liaise with internal parties like property team and reservation team
  • Support forecasting and budgeting exercise as per corporate guidelines
  • Coordinate and liaise with external parties like external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial agents, local tax and government authorities where required
  • Support and ensure compliance with all finance filing requirements, tax filing requirement, audits, procedures and forms both statutory and internal
  • Assist in new processes and system implementation when required
  • Plan and control the company’s cash flow, funding and budget allocation
  • Ensuring all accounting systems, practices, controls and procedures are fully compliance with company policy
  • Establish effective internal control procedures to improve accounting and reporting systems
  • Assist on any ad-hoc tasks required by CFO or supervisor
