Job summary

A leading oil and gas company in Singapore is looking for an Accounting Assistant to support with management accounts and financial statements. The ideal candidate should have a degree in accounting or similar qualifications, relevant experience, and strong skills in Microsoft Office. This position requires someone who is organized, able to work under pressure, and fluent in English.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year relevant working experience.
  • Solid foundation of accounting principles.
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.

  • Assist in preparing management accounts and yearly financial statements.
  • Perform bank, inter-company, GST, and other reconciliations.
  • Organize supporting documents on shared drives.

Job description
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Assist in preparing management accounts and yearly financial statements.
  • Assist with day-to-day accounting activities, posting invoices, receipts and payments.
  • Perform bank, inter-company, GST, Taxes and other general ledgers reconciliations.
  • Prepare detailed balance sheet and accounting schedules.
  • Locate, verify and follow-ups on necessary supporting documents.
  • Perform daily / monthly routine tasks: such as recording and posting of data entries, documents filing, photocopying and scanning of supporting documents.
  • Organize supporting documents folders on the shared drives.
  • Perform collaboration with team members to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple accounting assignment activities.
  • Perform other ad hoc tasks as required.
Requirements for the candidate:
  • LCCI, CAT, ACCA (Completed Paper F1 to F8) or a Diploma in Accounting. Preferably candidate graduate from a local institution / Polytechnic.
  • Minimum 1 year relevant working experience.
  • Able to take instructions from the immediate superior.
  • Solid foundation of accounting principles knowledge.
  • Positive mindset and working attitude.
  • Polite, respectful, dynamic, highly responsible individual, teachable and “willing to do” attitude.
  • Highly skilled at Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat applications
  • Meticulous, good working attitude and fast worker.
  • Strong organization skills and capable of managing priorities effectively.
  • Able to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken is required), other language would be an advantage.
  • Salary will be commensurate with experience.
