Job description
China Merchants Energy Shipping – Central Singapore

Execute company credit policies in compliance with departmental management requirements.

Handle daily accounting tasks, including bookkeeping, reconciliation, and partner-related accounting.

Prepare financial reports and statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Prepare cash and bank balance reconciliation statements and conduct periodic account reconciliations.

Manage and maintain AR/RV modules in the business-finance system and shared finance platform.

Ensure proper posting, updating, and verification of financial data in the system.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for GST declaration, audit, and compliance with Singapore tax regulations.
  • Manage tax-related activities to ensure adherence to local financial policies.
  • Assist in overall financial management.
  • Support special financial projects and ad-hoc assignments as required.
  • Liaise and coordinate with external agency service departments.
  • Undertake other tasks assigned by management to support company operations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Prior experience in financial accounting, preferably within a Chinese state-owned enterprise, is advantageous.
  • Experience in an accounting firm or holding a CPA certification is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of Singapore’s tax policies and accounting standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiar with financial/accounting systems.
  • Quick learner with a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Excellent execution, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively in a cross-border environment.
