Job summary

A leading construction firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced accounting professional to manage corporate secretarial matters and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with at least 2 years of experience, preferably in the construction industry. Proficiency in QuickBooks and strong Excel skills are essential for this role.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with accounting software like QuickBooks.

Job description
Job Description:
  • Corporate secretarial matters such as preparing resolutions for AGM, annual return filing (XBRL) with ACRA & Vistra, attending board meetings, change in auditor/director, economic substance filing via DITC portal and Vistra etc.
  • Familiar with tax computation (Form C & ECI) in Singapore, preferably possess knowledge of tax return in HongKong as well.
  • Ensure timely, accurate month-end closing and financial reporting to Management
  • Assist in the preparation and closing of monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual financial statements
  • Responsible for accounting processess and task (i.e.: AP & AR process, GL, account reconciliation, etc)
  • Coordinate and liaise with internal parties to support intercompany activities
  • Support forecasting and budgeting exercise including monitoring of expenditures as per corporate guidelines
  • Report on the company's financial health and liquidity
  • Compute taxes and prepare tax returns for review by tax agents
  • Coordinate and liaise with external parties like external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial agents, local tax and government authorities where required
  • Support and ensure compliance with all finance filling requirements, tax filling requirement (GST/CIT, etc), audits, procedures and forms both statutory and internal
  • Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
  • Assist in new processes and system implementation when required
Job Requirement:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, professional certification (e.g. ACCA or CPA) is a plus, Diploma holder with sufficient working experience may be considered
  • At least 2 years of working experience, experience in Construction/Building industry will be added advantage
  • Good working knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards
  • Well-versed in Ms Office especially Ms Excel including Vlookups and pivot tables
  • Hands-on experience with QuickBooks accounting software
  • Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles
  • A self-starter who is able to plan, organise and take initiative to meet job objectives and deadlines independently
  • Can-do attitude, driven and passionate about work
  • Accuracy, strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
  • Intermediate verbal and written communication skills
  • Willing to work at Senoko Area
