A construction equipment company in Singapore is seeking an Accounts Assistant to manage accounts payable and support closing duties. The ideal candidate should hold an LCCI or relevant certification, have at least 2 years of experience, and be proficient in Mandarin to communicate with clients. Knowledge in Microsoft Excel is essential for this role.
Job Purpose:
The Accounts Assistant is responsible for performing accounting and administrative works for the effective processing of accounts payable transactions. The role also works closely with the Accounts & Operations Manager to support other period closing accounting duties.
Responsibilities:
Ensure all receipts and transaction entries are accurately recorded
Assist in monthly closing
Perform accounts receivables duties
Perform monthly bank reconciliation
Ensure accurate and timely billing
Monitoring of outstanding debtors’ accounts to recover overdue debts
Handling of inquiries of payment from creditors
Daily filing and maintenance of documents
Liaise with the operation team in obtaining complete supporting documents
Handling phone calls and email queries relating to accounts
Perform administrative works
Other ad-hoc duties assigned by superior and Management
Qualifications:
LCCI / Any Accountancy relevant certification
Experience/ Proficiency:
At least 2 years of relevant experience in accountancy
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Required to communicate Chinese speaking clients and vendors, mandarin speaking proficiency is required
