1. Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Oversee full sets of accounts for multiple entities, ensuring timely month-end and year-end closings.
- Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and accounting schedules prepared by the finance team.
- Prepare consolidated financial statements in accordance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS).
- Analyse financial results and provide management with insights for strategic planning.
2. Budgeting & Cost Control
- Lead the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis.
- Monitor variances between actual and budgeted results, providing recommendations for cost efficiency.
- Supervise costing for import/export transactions, including freight, customs duties, and local logistics.
3. Taxation & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with IRAS regulations, including GST submissions, corporate tax filings, and withholding tax matters.
- Liaise with external auditors, corporate secretaries, and government agencies (MOM, ACRA, IRAS) during statutory audits and compliance reviews.
- Maintain internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
4. Team Supervision & Process Improvement
- Supervise and train accounting staff on daily operations, including AP, AR, and cash management.
- Implement process improvements and digitalisation of accounting workflows to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Conduct periodic internal reviews to strengthen internal controls and risk management.
5. Cash Flow & Treasury Management
- Oversee cash flow planning, bank reconciliations, and intercompany fund transfers.
- Manage relationships with financial institutions to ensure smooth execution of payments and credit facilities.
- Prepare cash flow forecasts and support management in investment and financing decisions.
6. Cross-Functional & Strategic Support
- Collaborate with Operations and Procurement teams on cost analysis and project profitability tracking.
- Provide financial advice to management on capital expenditures, business expansion, and new ventures.
- Participate in strategic decision-making by providing accurate financial data and risk assessments.
Skills & Competencies:
- 1. Strong knowledge of Singapore tax laws, GST, and SFRS standards.
- 2. Experienced in multi-entity accounting, import/export costing, and audit coordination.
- 3. Proficient in accounting software such as SQL, Xero, or MYOB.
- 4. Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
- 5. Bachelors Degree in Accountancy or equivalent.
- 6. Minimum 5 years experience in Accounting field.
