A financial services company in Singapore is seeking a professional for a 12-month contract in Accounting and Regulatory Reporting. Job description

12-month contract - Accounting and Regulatory Reporting

• Guide and oversee the tasks performed the Accounting & Regulatory Reporting Team
• Serve as a sounding board for other departments on financial accounting and regulatory reporting matters
• Liaising with external stakeholders e.g. auditors on financial accounting and regulatory reporting matters
• Representative for annual audit including provision of finance deliverables, handling queries and preparing annual financial statements
• Establishing and maintaining strong work relationship with Head Office Finance team
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting (including audited financial statements) to internal stakeholders, regulators and Head Office
• Oversee, review and maintain effective controls and ensure compliance with group policies and local regulatory guidelines
• Responsible for timely update of Finance policies
• Ensure proper controls over the financial books and records of the Singapore Branch
• Uphold compliance standards, internal controls and integrity
• Participating in Projects relating to Accounting & Regulatory Reporting Function in Singapore as well as new product roll-out, including:
  1. Participating and guiding the Finance team in providing user requirements
  2. Performing and guiding the Finance team in user testing
  3. Assessment and conclusion of test results
  4. Supporting HK Finance in projects on common topics

Requirements

• 10 years or more hands on working experience in finance function in the financial services industry with a strong understanding of financial instruments
• Good knowledge of IFRS and Singapore regulatory reporting requirements
• Degree holder in Finance or Certified Public Accountant or Equivalent
• Strong IT skills especially MS office products such as Excel and Access
• Prior working

Working hours: office hours

Hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 days WFH
