Job summary

Argyll Scott, on behalf of our client, is seeking an experienced Accountant to support its Singapore operations with responsibilities across general accounting, financial reporting, treasury, tax and statutory compliance.

You will manage GL to TB, prepare journal entries, monthly and quarterly reports, GST submissions, and assist auditors, with 3–5 years of relevant experience and a Degree or Higher Diploma in Accountancy or Finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or diploma in accounting/finance required.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience in full-set accounting and financial reporting.
• Experience with GST and corporate tax preparation advantageous.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).

Responsibilities

• Manage General Ledger activities through to Trial Balance, including journal entries.
• Prepare treasury reporting packages and support cash flow management.
• Prepare monthly management reports, inventory reports and Notes to the Accounts.
• Prepare quarterly Cash Flow Statements and Balance Sheet reporting.
• Prepare and coordinate quarterly GST submissions.
• Oversee Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
• Prepare ad-hoc management and statutory/government reports as required.
• Liaise with external auditors and prepare audit schedules and documentation.
• Coordinate with external tax advisors and provide information for corporate tax preparation.
• Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register.
• Perform intercompany balance reconciliations and intercompany confirmations at month-end.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities and finance projects.

Our client is an established multinational organisation operating within the luxury consumer retail industry, with a strong presence in Singapore.

As part of its Finance team, the company is looking for an experienced Accountant to support its Singapore operations. The role offers broad exposure across general accounting, financial reporting, treasury, tax and statutory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage General Ledger activities through to Trial Balance, including preparation and posting of journal entries.
• Prepare treasury reporting packages and support cash flow management.
• Prepare monthly management reports, inventory reports and Notes to the Accounts.

• Strong understanding of general accounting, month-end closing and financial reporting.
• Experience in GST and corporate tax preparation will be advantageous.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
• Experience with SAP or other ERP/accounting systems is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• A collaborative team player with good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive, hands-on and accountable, with a strong can-do attitude.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
