Job summary

A leading recruitment firm in Singapore is looking for an experienced Accountant to manage financial accounts and reports. You will oversee cost management, cash flow, and compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate has a Diploma or Degree in Accounting and at least 5 years of experience in a senior role. This position is open to Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents only.

Qualifications

Your New Role
  • Manage project and construction‑related costings, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Handle the full set of accounts and ensure timely submission of monthly, quarterly, and year‑end financial reports.
  • Oversee cash flow planning and treasury functions to maintain healthy liquidity.
  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of GST returns, annual tax filings, and other statutory requirements.
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis including variance analysis to identify trends, deviations, and opportunities for cost optimisation and performance improvement.
  • Lead the budgeting and financial planning process for the organisation.
  • Liaise with auditors to meet all statutory and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Post journal entries, finalize accounts, and maintain accurate financial ledgers.
  • Assist in monthly financial closing, including preparation of journals and maintenance of schedules.
Key Qualifications for Success
  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, or equivalent professional accounting qualifications.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a senior role.
  • Strong knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards.
  • Proven leadership skills with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and perform effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Highly committed, detail‑oriented, and eager to learn.
  • Prior experience in the construction industry will be an added advantage.
  • Open to Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents only.
