Job summary

A leading global manufacturer in Singapore is seeking an experienced accountant to manage monthly closing, intercompany reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements. The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and 3-6 years of relevant experience. Knowledge of ERP and consolidation tools is preferred. Strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3-6 years of experience in accounts and finance with a medium/large enterprise.
• Strong fundamental understanding of accounting principles.
• Good English communication; knowledge of Hindi/Tamil is advantageous.

Job description

The employer is a large Singapore headquartered manufacturer of petrochemicals and fertilisers with several production facilities in Asia, Europe, Africa and Americas.

Responsibilities

• Monthly closing of accounts, bank reconciliation, and reconciliation of payables & receivables
• Intercompany reconciliations, validation checks and assisting in audit and preparation of financial statements
• Coordination with business units to gather necessary inputs, highlight errors and follow-up on pending items
• Preparation of financial statements for assigned entities
• Coordinating and supporting external auditors during audit

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from a reputed university
• 3-6 years of experience in accounts and finance with a medium/large enterprise
• Strong fundamental understanding of accounting principles
• Working knowledge of any ERP (Tally, SAP, etc.)
• Working knowledge of consolidation tool (FCCS, Hyperion, BPC) preferred
• Good English communication and interpersonal skills; knowledge of Hindi and/or Tamil will be advantageous for dealing with back office in India
