Job Summary

The Accountant will support business units by providing financial expertise and ensuring accurate, timely reporting for all assigned entities, including subsidiaries and joint ventures, both locally and overseas. This role contributes to the preparation of consolidated financial statements for the Organization in compliance with regulatory requirements, and supports management in monitoring performance, evaluating strategies, and driving proactive measures to sustain profitability and optimise shareholder returns.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth and timely month-end closing for subsidiaries and joint venture companies.
• Participate in year-end audits and manage all audit-related matters.
• Review budget submissions and tax computations based on information provided by relevant departments for submission to Group Reporting.
• Provide accounting support and services to joint venture partners or investors.
• Prepare management reports for Senior Management, JV partners, and investors.
• Supervise and guide a small team of 1–2 members.
• Handle daily operational queries and requests from managers and external stakeholders.
• Review management accounts prepared by overseas accounting agents.
• Prepare annual corporate tax filings.

Requirements

• ACCA qualification or Degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in financial closing and reporting.
• Knowledge of GST and tax provisions.
• Experience in the property industry and SAP will be an added advantage.
• Supervisory experience or basic leadership skills is an advantage.
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong team player with a collaborative mindset.
