  • Prepare financial statements, management report and produce budget & forecast according to schedule.
  • Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
  • Plan, assign and review work performed by subordinates to ensure closing timelines are met.
  • Assist in audit and taxation matters including liaison with auditors and tax agents.

Job description
  • Prepare financial statements, management report and produce budget & forecast according to schedule
  • Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures
  • Prepare and manage cash flow projection, review cash book
  • Plan, assign and review work performed by subordinates ensure closing timelines are met
  • Handle and manage inter co transactions
  • Assist in monthly reports analysis, quarterly forecast analysis
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
  • Assist in monthly closing journals
  • Assist in providing supervision and guidance to the team
  • Perform stock take reconciliation and review stock take reconciliation
  • Assist in audit and taxation matters include liaison with auditor and tax agent
  • Assist in preparing audit report and annual filling of ACRA
  • Perform GST reconcile and Quarterly GST filling
  • Ad-hoc assignment from AFM or FC

Requirements:

  • Degreed in Finance/Accounting/CPA / ACCA or its equivalents
  • Possess minimum 3 - 4 years of experience in the commercial accounting field
  • Hands-on person and able to work with fast-paced environment and work independently
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving and communication skills
  • Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles
  • Experience in month-end/year end close process able to meet tight deadline
  • Meticulous and attention to detail
  • Advanced computer skills in MS Excel, and accounting software
  • Experience in retail industry would be advantageous
