Job summary

A leading marketing firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage full financials and ensure compliance with local regulations. The successful candidate will have a degree in Accounting or Finance, with 3-5 years of experience, preferably in an eCommerce environment. Proficiency in Xero and advanced Excel skills are essential. This is a great opportunity to contribute to the success of a high-growth company.

Your Next Role

You will play a key role as an Accountant in managing full financials, driving timely month‑end closes, and crafting management insights to support business growth.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the full set of accounts, including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.
  • Ensure timely month‑end and year‑end close of accounts.
  • Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with local statutory and tax requirements (e.g. GST, corporate tax filings).
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents and government authorities on audit and compliance matters.
  • Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
  • Prepare management reports, variance analysis and business performance insights to support decision‑making.
  • Monitor cash flow, working capital and expense management.
  • Support financial planning & analysis duties as required.
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams (Marketing, Creatives, Supply Chain, etc.) to ensure accurate cost tracking and financial accountability.
  • Oversee accounting for online transactions and payment gateways from eCommerce platforms (e.g. Shopify, Amazon).
  • Proactively identify and streamline finance processes & recommend system improvements where needed.
  • Respond to all internal finance queries within 3 working days.
  • Ensure statutory and tax submissions (e.g. GST, corporate tax) are 100% submitted on or before due dates.
  • Identify and propose actions for finance process improvement areas.
  • Reconcile sales, refunds, fees and bank transactions to achieve 100% accuracy with minimal outstanding items.
What You Bring
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, etc.).
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in an eCommerce environment; experience with group consolidation is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation and financial reporting.
  • Strong multi‑tasking skills, attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in Xero and advanced Excel (e.g. Power Query, Power Pivot) is a strong plus.
  • Hands‑on, proactive and able to work independently and as part of a team.
