Job summary

A growing company in Singapore is seeking an experienced Accountant to join their team. This role involves ensuring accurate revenue and cost recognition, managing General Ledger processes, collaborating with teams to resolve issues, overseeing banking activities, and handling cash flow forecasts. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, at least 2 years of treasury experience preferably in the oil trading sector, and fluency in both English and Mandarin to communicate with counterparts in China. Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in treasury, preferably in oil trading.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

1. Ensure accurate revenue and cost recognition in compliance with FRS and internal controls.
2. Manage and improve General Ledger processes, including AR, AP, inventory, intercompany transactions, revaluation, and depreciation.
3. Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve billing issues and manage credit limits.
4. Oversee banking activities, cash flow monitoring, and LC/bank guarantee applications.
5. Prepare cash flow forecasts, AR/AP reconciliations, and aging analysis.
6. Handle quarterly GST tax calculations and support month-end/year-end closing.
7. Any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

1. Only Singapore Citizen / Singapore Permanent Resident.
2. Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in Accountancy.
3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in treasury, preferably within the oil trading or related industry.
4. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
5. Fluent in English and Mandarin to facilitate communication with counterparts in China.
6. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
