Job summary

A leading restaurant group in Singapore is seeking an experienced accountant to manage financial records, ensure compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards, and support financial decisions. The ideal candidate should possess a degree in accounting, and have 3 to 5 years of experience, preferably in the F&B industry. Proficiency in ERP systems, particularly Oracle Netsuite, is advantageous. This position offers dynamic work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in F&B industry.
  • Meticulous and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in handling year-end audit and tax computation.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain full set of accounts including Accounts Payable and Receivable.
  • Prepare monthly management reports and forecasts.
  • Liaise with external auditors and government authorities.

Job Description
  • Maintain full set of accounts – Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger and related accounting matters.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness and timeliness of all financial records, journal entries and transactions.
  • Ensure timely month-end closing of accounts in accordance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards.
  • Prepare monthly management reports, cash flow forecast and other reports required by Group.
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliation and audit schedules.
  • Responsible for quarterly GST returns. Assist in annual tax computation and returns.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions and optimize profitability.
  • Prepare annual budget, forecasts and cash flow projections.
  • Handle year-end audit and XBRL filing.
  • Liaise with external auditors, corporate secretary, tax agent and government authorities as needed.
  • Perform any other ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
Requirements
  • Degree in accounting, ACCA, CA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience preferably in F&B industry.
  • Well versed in Microsoft Office applications, ERP system and accounting software. Experience in Oracle Netsuite is an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards and Singapore tax regulations.
  • Meticulous, strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Proactive, hands-on, a good team player and able to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate in Mandarin will be an advantage to liaise with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
