A financial services organization in Singapore seeks an experienced Accountant to manage all aspects of accounting for group and subsidiary accounts. The successful candidate will lead a team, prepare financial statements, and ensure compliance with laws and corporate policies. Responsibilities include overseeing daily activities, managing audits, calculating taxable income, and implementing internal controls. The candidate should possess a degree in Accounting or Finance and have strong financial analysis skills.
Accountant all aspects of accounting and in-charge of full set of accounts for Group and subsidiary accounts. The Accountant is responsible for all the daily activities of accounting and ensures that the Organisation's finance function is well organized, providing accurate financial statements and management accounts on time, thus achieving compliance with corporate policies and statutory requirements.
The Accountant's role involves leading a team of finance accounting, admin specialists and working closely with internal and external auditors, bankers, and regulators. Accountant must keep current with changing statutory requirements and tax laws to determine the implications of such changes to financial reporting.
Accountant analyses data and understands the financial performance and position of the Organisation in order to develop suitable accounting policies to meet reporting requirements and to produce any special reports required by the management. Accountant may also work with the other department leaders to help define the Organisation's overall finance strategy.
