A manufacturing company based in Singapore is seeking a skilled Accountant to handle financial reporting and analysis, oversee junior staff, and ensure compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor in Accounting and at least 3-4 years of experience in a similar role. Responsibilities include preparing financial statements and managing audits. Preparation of monthly, quarterly management account and year-end financial statements on a tight timeline basis.
Monthly product margin, cost & variance analysis and ad-hoc finance projects.
Preparation of statutory reports, corporate tax computation & tax schedules;
Preparation of quarterly GST submission;
Preparation of Journal Voucher; monthly, quarterly and yearly accounts schedule and intercompany reconciliation.
Responsible for consolidating full set of business accounts.
Liaise with internal & external auditor, respond to queries.
Guide, coach and mentor a team of junior accounting staff to ensure quality and timeliness of work.
Familiar with cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
Part of the team which is responsible for establishing, reviewing and updating of group accounting policies and procedures in line with changes in business requirements and relevant financial reporting standards.
Demonstrates a strong team player mindset and collaborates effectively across departments to support business objectives.
Work closely with CFO, Group Finance manager and Controlling team in FP&A and sustainable value-adding projects.
Bachelor Degree in Accounting with certified accounting qualification or in the final stages of obtaining a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA).
Finance leadership role with advancement to Group Accountant position for the suitable candidate.
Highly proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with both internal and external stakeholders.
Familiarity with ERP systems (eg. Epicor) will be advantageous.
Practical, hands-on experience for 3-4 years in the manufacturing industry.
