Job description:
Position Summary
This position manages the day-to-day financial functions for Aircraft Management (ACM) line of business and performs financial closing and reporting activities for all the business units.
Main Responsibilities
- Maintain a full set of accounts for Jet Aviation Hong Kong and Jet Aviation Business Jets SGP.
- Accurately and timely perform manual accounting entries (AP, AR, Bank, Fixed Assets, GL entries, Intercompany transactions).
- Perform balance sheet schedules and reconciliations by the 15th of each month.
- Work closely with AP and AR teams to ensure accurate accounting of transactions.
- Drive a seamless monthly and year-end closing process; close the books within 2 working days.
- Design and prepare reporting dashboards, including actual forecast variance analysis and margin analysis.
- Assist in preparing the monthly reporting package to the Head Office.
- Submit Monthly & Quarterly Financial performance reports to HQ via SAP.
- Submit Monthly & Quarterly variance analysis for Day 2 Bridge & Day 5 reporting to APAC LT.
- Submit Monthly financial forecasts, risk & opportunities, and Cashflow forecasts via SAP BW to HQ.
- Represent all ACM APAC line of business as the primary contact for financial information requests from HQ and Asia Pacific Management.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budget.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors for audits and inspections.
- Prepare tax forecasts and estimates.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, local regulations, and US GAAP.
- Implement and document Delegation of Authority, Accounting, and Controls Processes in line with SOX requirements.
- Assist FM in supporting FP&A tasks.
- Assist FM in driving continuous improvement for the Finance team.
- Assist FM with global transformation projects and new IT system rollouts.
- Assist FM with SAP S4 & Basware implementation and resolve post go-live issues.
- Perform any ad-hoc duties assigned by the company.
- Represent Jet Aviation internally and externally with industry groups, regulatory bodies, and the General Dynamics network.
Minimum Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline with finance qualification such as CA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA.
- Minimum of 5 years relevant accounting experience.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage competing priorities effectively and drive results while meeting critical deadlines.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
- Self-starter with high intellectual curiosity.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, Power Query, formulas).
- Proficient in SAP.
- Experience in the aviation industry is an advantage.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Capable of consulting with management on financial issues with a hands-on approach.
- Adhere to deadlines for statutory submissions and project deadlines.
