Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in project cost tracking, financial reporting, and GST compliance, preferably within the construction industry.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage daily accounting operations and ensure accurate financial records.
  2. Track and allocate job costs (labour, materials, subcontractors) to respective projects.
  3. Prepare progress billings and claims; ensure timely invoicing to clients.
  4. Coordinate with internal departments to ensure proper invoice recording in the accounting system.
  5. Resolve discrepancies by liaising with procurement, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  6. Perform month-end and year-end closing activities.
  7. Support external audits and ensure compliance with tax and GST regulations.
  8. Review petty cash transactions from project site offices.
  9. Manage vendor payment cycles and assist in cash flow forecasting.
  10. Prepare revenue projections and expenditure forecasts.
  11. Assist with ad-hoc financial projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or Degree in Accountancy or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a medium-sized organization; experience in the construction industry is preferred.
  • Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong understanding of GST regulations and compliance.
  • Meticulous, analytical, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Open to continuous improvement and process enhancement.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Location: East (Nearest MRT Expo)

Working Hours: 8am - 5.30pm (Monday - Friday)
