Job summary

A leading retail company in Singapore is seeking a Finance Executive to prepare financial reports and manage budgets. The ideal candidate has a degree in Accountancy or ACCA, with at least 3 years of relevant experience, including 2 years in a Public Accounting firm. Strong knowledge of SFRS and Singapore taxation, along with proficient skills in Microsoft Excel, are essential for this role. Candidates should be meticulous and able to manage multiple tasks under pressure.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for management and stakeholders.
  • Assist in the preparation and management of budgets to ensure efficient financial planning and control.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents and respective brand HOD to prepare the Financial Statement and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, laws and regulations in financial reporting and transactions.
  • Manage the daily accounts receivable function, including tracking and recording customer payments.
  • Manage cash flow by monitoring accounts receivable and payable and optimising cash reserves.
  • Prepare and issue invoices and credit notes.
  • Prepare monthly statement of accounts for customers.
  • Weekly updates and follow-up of wholesale collections with sales team and department stores.
  • Prepare intercompany billings of shipment to associated companies in Indonesia.
  • Processing and verifying all sales receipts.
  • Perform AR issue reconciliation, investigate and resolve unposted receipts.
  • Any ad-hoc assignment from time-to-time basis.
