Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage accounting functions of different nature of companies
- Maintain a full set of accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Handle day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including sales, purchases, accounts receivable/payable, and cash book management
- Prepare weekly operational reports for management review
- Ensure accurate and traceable accounting records
- Manage timely month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and intercompany transactions
- Handle quarterly GST submissions and ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations
- Respond to audit and tax-related queries efficiently
- Prepare financial schedules and reports for month-end and year-end closings
- Present financial and management reports to stakeholders
- Conduct cost analysis, budgeting, and variance reporting
- Support the preparation and submission of government grant claims
- Assist with overseas purchasing and order-related matters
- Liaise with both internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, tax agents, and banks
- Negotiate and renew lease agreements, including terms and conditions
- Complete and submit annual statistical surveys
- Propose and implement improvements to accounting processes, procedures, and internal controls
- Perform general office and operational administrative duties
Requirements:
- Degree in Accountancy, Taxation, Business, or a related discipline (or equivalent qualification)
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in accounting, including experience in an Accounts managerial role
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulatory compliance
- High level of accuracy, independence, and efficiency in work
- Excellent time management and adaptability in dynamic environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Collaborative team player with good communication skills
- Proficiency in MYOB Accounting Software
- Prior experience in an SME environment is preferred
- Immediate availability or short notice is advantageous
Reporting Structure:
- This role includes supervisory responsibilities, with two Accounts staff reporting directly to you.
