Job summary

A Singapore-based company is seeking an experienced accountant to maintain customer and supplier account balances, gather business records, and ensure the accuracy of financial transactions. The role involves month-end and year-end closing, data analysis, as well as handling GST and CPF submissions. Candidates should be adept with appropriate accounting software and have a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain customer/supplier account balances and ensure accuracy.
• Gather necessary business records for banking processes.
• Ensure accurate and timely update of accounting data and payroll transactions.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing.
• Ensure accuracy in financial records and statements.
• Record transactions regarding inventory, accruals, and payables.
• Use appropriate software for data analysis.
• Handle GST and CPF submissions.
• Undertake other administrative and accounting assignments.

Job description

1. Maintain customer/supplier account balances and ensure accuracy
2. Gather the necessary business records used for banking processes
3. Ensure accurate and timely update of accounting data and payroll transactions
4. Assist in month-end and year-end closing
5. Assist in assurance of accuracy in financial records and statements
6. Record transactions and events with regards to inventory, accruals, prepayments, capital structure, finance costs, sales, purchases, receivables, payables, cash, etc
7. Use appropriate information technology systems, software and tools for data analysis
8. GST and CPF submission
9. Other ad-hoc administrative and accounting assignments
