6 Months Contract

1. Development of competitive and consistent pricing for global and regional tenders
  • Clarify service requirements, and obtain relevant inputs, e.g., shipping profile, customer strategy, target prices, RFQ response guidelines, etc.
  • Support conversations regarding the pricing strategy for each tender involved, providing solid justification of the approach to follow with the sales owner
  • Analyze profitability and rate levels for existing and potential business and pricing; benchmarking against competition and pricing for other customers
  • Ensure “deep dive” cost analysis to determine customer‑specific costs to serve, e.g., special pickup, customer implants, dedicated linehaul, B2C service, value‑added services, etc
  • Prepare consolidated prices in rate card formats and customer/RFQ templates
  • Ensure consistency of pricing across countries, products, countries, weight breaks; and enforcement of pricing policies
  • Ensure documentation of final price proposals and communication to relevant stakeholders according to standards
2. Performance of global and regional customer pricing
  • Perform analyses of bids won/lost, propose recommendations
  • Conduct post‑implementation reviews of rate implementation, “ship to profile”, profitability
  • Perform “deep dive” profitability analyses
  • Identify issues and recommend improvements
  • Support the implementation of GPIs and introduction of new surcharges for global customers
  • Preparation of relevant reports/scorecards
3. Improvements to the customer pricing processes
  • Development of tools, procedures and databases to systemize the tasks of rate setting, profitability analysis, benchmarking, and price simulation
  • Development and delivery of training on the customer pricing process, tools, and techniques
  • Propose improvements to increase efficiency and quality of customer pricing processes, and support respective implementations
  • Lead complex costing analysis of global customers and ensure databases are maintained with the costing factors that are to be used in customer‑specific pricing
4. Provide advice and expertise to the pricing community and global organization
  • Act as a global/regional contact for customer pricing
  • Support country pricing managers on large country bids; and especially for >$1M and multi‑country and multi‑region
  • Provide input to the regional Tender Review Boards as required
  • Participate in adhoc projects and initiatives
