Job summary

Nexstrom, a Singapore-based deep-tech company, seeks a hands-on CVD technician/engineer to own process performance and drive continuous improvement. You will operate a CVD system for 2D semiconductor wafer growth, monitor parameters, and refine recipes while maintaining strict documentation and safety protocols in a fast-paced lab environment.

Ideal candidates bring 3–5 years in CVD or vacuum processes, a relevant degree, and a track record of turning anomalies into root causes.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years hands-on CVD or vacuum process experience with a Bachelor's degree or
• A Master's degree with hands-on experimental work in thin-film deposition or growth.
• Track record of independently taking an equipment or process issue from symptom to resolution.
• Careful and organised with habit of tracking and comparing process data and trends.

Responsibilities

• Own root-cause investigation when output drifts from specs, from hypothesis to resolution.
• Operate and maintain the CVD system, calibrate and troubleshoot, refine growth runs.
• Monitor real-time parameters (temperature, flow, pressure) and catch deviations early.
• Maintain detailed logs of runs, trends, and equipment behaviour; report drift or anomalies.
• Collaborate with teammates on run scheduling, priorities, and clear communication.
