Job summary

MediaTek in Singapore seeks an RF engineering professional to develop test programs for RF/microwave circuits and assist designers in characterization. You will design RF/system PCBs, coordinate fabrication and population of evaluation boards, and prepare components for RF evaluation.

The role requires a strong base in RF design, PCB tools, LabVIEW and Python, with knowledge of wireless standards. You will collaborate with IC designers and support advanced RF projects on-site in Singapore.

Qualifications

• Experience in RF and microwave design for circuits and systems.
• Experience in testing and characterization using RF/microwave equipment.
• Experience with PCB design for RF boards.
• Proficiency in LabVIEW and Python is preferred.
• Understanding of wireless communication standards (3GPP/GNSS/Bluetooth/WiFi).
• Basic soldering of surface mount components.

Responsibilities

• Develop test programs for automated test equipment to characterize analog/RF/mixed-signals circuits and RF systems.
• Assist integrated circuit designers in characterizing and troubleshooting dysfunctional analog/RF/mixed-signals circuits and systems.
• Design schematic and layout of RF and system printed circuit boards for the characterization of analog/RF/mixed-signals circuits.
• Coordinate the fabrication of these printed circuit boards.
• Preparation of components for RF and system evaluation boards.
• Coordinate the population of these evaluation boards.

Main Requirements and Qualifications

• - BEng./MSc./MEng. in EE with emphasis on RF/microwave design.
• - Experience in the design of RF printed circuit boards, and the use of PCB design CAD tools.
• - Prior experience in using OrCAD and PADS is highly preferred.
• - Experience in the testing and characterization of RF circuits using state-of the-art RF/microwave test equipment.
• - Experience in using LabVIEW and Python is highly preferred.
• - A good understanding in at least one the commercial wireless communication standards (3GPP/GNSS/Bluetooth/WiFi)
• - Basic skill in soldering surface mount components.
