Responsibilities

You will be reporting to the Team Lead, Finance Business Partners.

In this role, you will need,

To provide interim strategic finance business partnering support to SportSG's business operations, ensuring continuity of financial advisory services and maintaining the nexus between ACE Group and Business Groups during the temporary assignment period:

Strategic Finance Business Partnering
  • Support senior management with financial advisory services for strategic decision-making at board meetings and senior management platforms.
  • Provide regular financial reviews and business evaluations to Chiefs and division heads.
  • Assist in budget oversight and utilisation monitoring for assigned business groups through periodic reviews and forecasting.
Business Solutions and Advisory
  • Partner with Business Groups to understand operational challenges and provide compliant financial solutions.
  • Support project conceptualisation by advising on business arrangements, funding sources, budget reasonableness, and financial implications including tax considerations.
  • Collaborate within ACE Group teams to formulate solutions that meet legal, financial, and procurement requirements.
Budget Administration, Management and Reporting
  • Oversee the monthly budget performance at Corporate, Group, Division, and Programme levels.
  • Prepare the monthly budget performance reports with insights to support optimisation of resources.
  • Review project proposals for budget adequacy and reasonableness.
  • Support budget journal creation and virement request processing.
  • Liaise with external agencies on budget and funding matters as required.
Grant and Funding Support
  • Front the grant management activities including quarterly drawdown requests and budget utilisation reporting to MCCY.
  • Support funding submissions to Ministries and ToteBoard with financial projections and business case development.
  • Maintain grant records and track utilisation as assigned.

Any other ad-hoc duties or projects assigned.

Job Requirements
  • Background in Business or Accountancy, ACCA qualification or equivalent.
  • At least 5-8 years of relevant working experience.
  • Strategic with strong business acumen.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, and comfortable interacting with senior management and across various levels within the organisation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office applications (e.g. MS Excel) and IT savvy in using different systems (eg Power BI).
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, independent and resourceful.
  • Ability to adapt and multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.

The level of offer will commensurate with applicants' experience and track records. Successful candidates will be offered a 1-year contract in the first instance.
