Job summary

A leading recruitment agency in Singapore is seeking candidates for a KYC compliance role on a one-year contract. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Banking & Finance, with relevant experience in the banking industry being a plus. Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed assessments and document client SoW for compliance with CDD procedures and regulatory standards.
  • Remediate existing KYC records, identify gaps in documentation, and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure KYC performance meets standards expected by the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
  • Review completeness of CDD information and perform risk assessments as needed.
  • Oversee execution of client due diligence processes for high-risk clients.
  • Identify and assess potential KYC-related risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders for effective remediation execution.
  • Develop and maintain remediation documentation and track outstanding SoW verifications.
  • Perform data analysis to identify clients needing remediation and prioritize levels.
  • Prepare reports on remediation progress for senior management.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct detailed assessments and clearly documenting client SoW to ensure compliance with CDD procedures and regulatory standards set by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).
  • Remediate existing KYC records related to SoW, identifying gaps in documentation and implementing corrective actions to address these issues.
  • Ensure performance of KYC to the standards expected by the Monetary Authority of Singapore and in accordance with the bank’s AML and KYC Policies and Procedures.
  • This includes reviewing and checking for completeness of CDD information (including SOW/SOF) and supporting documentations for new and existing customers (periodic review) and performing risk assessments in line with the bank’s AML and KYC Policies and Procedures.
  • Oversee the execution of client due diligence processes, ensuring thorough assessments of client risk profiles. Ensure that appropriate enhanced due diligence is performed on high-risk clients, including politically exposed persons (PEPs) and clients from high-risk jurisdictions.
  • Lead the identification and assessment of potential KYC-related risks associated with new and existing clients. Implement appropriate risk mitigation strategies and elevate issues as necessary to senior management.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including compliance, operations, and relationship managers, to ensure effective remediation are executed promptly.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to remediation efforts, including tracking the status of outstanding SoW verifications and resolutions.
  • Perform data analysis to identify clients requiring remediation and prioritize levels.
  • Prepare and submit reports on remediation progress and outcomes to senior management.
