Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Contracts Leader to oversee all commercial and contractual aspects of our construction projects. You will be responsible for leading the contracts team, managing risk, driving tender success, and ensuring the financial and legal integrity of all agreements. This strategic role is pivotal to our business growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing contracts team.
  • Allocate resources effectively across contract administration and tendering functions.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Contract Lifecycle Management
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Ensure strict compliance with contractual terms, legal standards, and company policies.
  • Manage claims, variations, and dispute resolution processes.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual and commercial risks.
  • Tendering & Business Growth
  • Direct the end-to-end tender process for new projects, from analysis to submission.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (estimation, project management, technical) to develop competitive and profitable bids.
  • Analyze tender documents to identify risks, opportunities, and strategic advantages.
  • Support business development by securing projects that align with company goals.
  • Commercial & Financial Oversight
  • Monitor project budgets, cash flow, and financial performance related to contracts.
  • Provide strategic commercial advice to senior management and project teams.
  • Ensure timely invoicing, payment collection, and formal contract close-out.
  • Stakeholder & Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all key contractual matters.
  • Represent the company in negotiations and industry forums.
  • Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Law, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive contract management experience within the construction industry, with a proven track record on large-scale projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and developing a contracts or commercial team.
Requirements
  • At least 10 years of experiences in project tendering
  • Expert Knowledge: Deep understanding of construction law, contracts (e.g., SIA, FIDIC), procurement, and industry standards.
  • Strategic & Commercial Acumen: Strong business insight with the ability to drive profitable outcomes and mitigate risk.
