Job summary

Overview

Name of Authority: Rosyth School

Contract Period: From 1 Jan 2026 to 31 Dec 2026. Personnel to be deployed at the following hours:

Hours
  • Receptionist 1 (Half Day)
  • • Mondays to Fridays: 8:00am to 2:00pm, inclusive of 30 mins lunch break
  • • Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays
  • Receptionist 2 (Full Day)
  • • Mondays to Fridays: 8:45am to 5:30pm, inclusive of 45 mins lunch break
  • • Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays
Job Scopes
  • Reception and Customer Service
    • Respond to phone calls, enquiries and walk-in visitors from school community members (pupils, teachers, school staff) and external parties (parents, vendors, public)
    • Facilitate communication between parents and teachers
  • Goods and Delivery Management
    • Manage incoming deliveries, collections, documents and communications
    • Ensure accurate and timely packing and distribution of items
  • Student Care and Support
    • Attend to unwell/injured pupils in the sick bay and arrange parent pickup
    • Coordinate early dismissal and manage lost and found items
  • Administrative and Record Management
    • Maintain and update data / documents
  • Security and Access Management
    • Coordinate with security personnel on visitor arrivals
    • Manage vendor access
  • General Requirements
    • Maintain confidentiality of all school and pupil information
    • Any other duties as assigned by the School
Requirements
  • a) Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (minimally both Word and Excel)
  • b) Proficient in the use of email communication, particularly with Goggle Mail (Gmail)
  • e) Preferably 3 years of experience in receptionist/customer service
  • f) Preferably 1 year of experience working in a primary school setting
  • g) Have basic First Aid knowledge
  • h) Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • i) Good customer service skill
