Job summary

ESAB Corporation in Gothenburg, Sweden is seeking a Welding Engineer to join our Applications Engineering team within R&D Filler Metals. You will combine welding engineering with hands-on work and project management to develop reliable solutions.

You will collaborate with R&D engineers, product managers, welders and laboratory staff to deliver effective customer applications, trials and technical reports. Hybrid options apply.

Qualifications

• Degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Engineering or related field.
• Minimum BSc; MSc or PhD an advantage.
• Several years of experience in welding technology and applications.
• IWE preferred, IWT or equivalent competence considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Applications Engineering projects from start to final reporting.
• Provide welding expertise and support to customers.
• Plan and coordinate welding trials, testing and investigations.
• Collaborate with labs and R&D, product managers and welders.
• Develop welding processes and recommendations for customer applications.
• Read and apply welding standards and test methods.
• Prepare technical reports and document findings.
