Job summary

Voi Technology is hiring a Mechanical Engineer in the Vehicle HW team to drive end-to-end development of next-generation vehicle hardware. You will set requirements, guide supplier work, review tests and ensure performance, reliability and repairability as the product scales.

You will work cross-functionally with R&D, Quality, Supply Chain and markets, including frequent collaboration with Chinese suppliers and global teams. London-like travel expectations are included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering discipline, ideally Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong end-to-end experience in mechanical product development (requirements, design, testing, verification, industrialisation).
• Experience working with Chinese suppliers on co-development projects.
• Extensive CAD experience; exposure to CAE and FEA tools throughout development.
• Experience with repairability, serviceability and field performance improvements.
• Comfort collaborating with cross-functional teams (PMs, electrical, QA, procurement, etc.).
• Ability to manage multiple projects and travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end co-development of next-generation vehicle hardware with suppliers and Voi teams.
• Define engineering requirements and specifications; review supplier test plans/reports for performance and reliability targets.
• Support root cause analysis and drive robust mitigation actions with suppliers and internal teams.
• Design new add-ons and variants with ownership from requirements through CAD, testing and industrialisation.
• Work hands-on with sample builds and mass-produced vehicles to assess improvements in serviceability, UX and handling.
