Job description
Are you ready to take the next step in your insurance career with a role that combines commercial relationships and underwriting?

We are looking for a new team member to join our Nordic Accident & Health (A&H) team in Stockholm. Whether you are currently working as an Underwriter, an Insurance Broker, or an Account Manager, this role offers you the platform to develop your skills in a truly international environment.

We are looking for a commercially minded profile who enjoys building relationships and is ready to take responsibility for their own portfolio.

Your day-to-day base will be our centrally located Stockholm office. You will be part of the local Swedish team, but also integrated in our Nordic structure with around 30 professionals across the four Nordic countries.

What’s in it for you?

At AIG, we believe in "freedom with responsibility." We provide the framework and support, but we trust you to structure your day and manage your clients.

Here is what you can expect:

  • Take ownership of a Swedish A&H portfolio, with the autonomy to develop strategies for profitable growth together with the rest of the team.
  • Join a social team in our central Stockholm office, while working as a fully integrated member of the wider Nordic A&H team across Sweden, Denmark, Finland, and Norway.
  • We offer flexible working hours and a hybrid set-up to help you align your work with your personal priorities.
  • We offer a competitive package including occupational pension, private medical insurance, generous wellness allowance, and a yearly bonus.
  • 5 additional vacation days annually (30 days total) to ensure you have time to recharge.
  • A culture that encourages learning, with access to our Underwriting University, LinkedIn Learning, and our internal learning platform with both live and at your own pace learning opportunities.
Your impact and responsibilities

You will play a central role in the Swedish market, balancing the daily operations of your portfolio with relationship building. It is not just about technical details; it is about finding solutions that work for our partners.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining strong, commercial relationships with key brokers and clients in Sweden.
  • Managing the full lifecycle of your accounts – from underwriting and quoting to renewals and servicing.
  • Collaborating with the Nordic distribution team to identify new opportunities.
  • Acting as a sparring partner for brokers, ensuring AIG is top-of-mind when they place business.
  • Handling both local Swedish clients and incoming Nordic and multinational programs.
What you’ll need to succeed

We are looking for a candidate with a solid foundation and the right mindset. Relationships are key in this role, together with an analytical and structured mindset.

We believe you are a match if you have:

  • Have experience from the insurance industry – for example as a Broker, Underwriter, or Account Manager.
  • A commercial mindset and a natural flair for building trust with external partners.
  • Fluency in Swedish and English (written and verbal).
  • A structured approach to your work and the ability to work independently.
  • An interest in international insurance programs and niche products like Business Travel and Personal Accident.
  • The desire to work in a flat, Nordic hierarchy where we help each other succeed.
