Job summary
Alstom is seeking a full-time Traction Ecodesign Engineer in Västerås. You will drive and support technical investigations and collaborate across functions to deliver smart propulsion products. You will also handle Ecodesign activities and documentation throughout the product life cycle.
The ideal candidate will have a relevant engineering degree, strong interest in sustainability, and experience with regulations like REACH and RoHS.

Qualifications
- Degree in Material, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Experience with REACH and RoHS regulations.
- Knowledge of EN 45545 is desirable.
- Experience in planning and coordinating activities.
- Strong interest in sustainability and Ecodesign principles.
- English fluency is mandatory; Swedish is an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Deploy and apply Ecodesign referential in various activities.
- Ensure Ecodesign expertise for platforms, subsystems, tenders.
- Perform Ecodesign activities/analysis on tenders.
- Prepare Ecodesign management plan and specifications.
- Participate in environmental audits.
- Ensure achievement of Ecodesign commitments.
