Toyota Material Handling Sweden AB in Mjölby invites master's students to work on hydraulic simulations to model safety components on forklift trucks to minimize testing.
You will build a simulation model of a hose rupture valve and a mast, validate with lab measurements, and contribute to the safe dimensioning of hydraulic components for forklifts.
Are you interested in hydraulic simulations at Toyota Material Handling Europe?Your assignment will be to model safety components on forklift trucks in order to minimize testing.
All today's trucks have a hose rupture valve to prevent the load from falling uncontrollably in the event of a hose rupture. This is a component that must work in all trucks due to safety. Today, these are dimensioned with simple calculations and verification tests. Several iterations of the calculation and testing are performed to ensure good function. The goal with the thesis is to get a good simulation model that can help with dimensioning of new hose rupture valves and finding the worst case for verification tests. The tolerance of the valve should also be taken into account in the simulation.
